You don’t need the perfect words. You don’t need to know where the story ends. You don’t even need to know exactly what you’re trying to say yet.
Start where you are. Tell as much or as little as you want.
This isn’t a contest for who hurt the most or who survived the worst. If it mattered to you, it matters here.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
When you share something here, it doesn’t automatically go public. Every submission is read first. Not to judge it. Not to clean it up. Just to make sure The Nest stays what it was built to be–a place for real people telling real stories.
You decide how much of yourself you want attached to it. Use your name, a nickname, or stay anonymous. Your story still counts.
A FEW GROUND RULES.
1.) DON’T BE AN ASSHOLE. Management has already filled that position.
2.) YOUR STORY IS YOUR STORY. Nobody gets to tell you what you should have felt, what you should have done, or how you should have survived it.
3.) DON’T TURN SOMEONE ELSE’S PAIN INTO ENTERTAINMENT. If someone trusts The Nest with something real, treat it like something real.
4.) DISAGREE WITHOUT DESTROYING. Different lives create different perspectives. You can challenge an idea without tearing apart the person who lived it.
